Role Overview:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Head of Growth to drive the expansion of our marketplace globally, reporting directly to our CEO. Your role involves scaling the business through strategic planning for exponential revenue growth, focusing on user/client acquisition, activation and retention. Collaborating with the team and contractors, you’ll enhance multi-channel acquisition strategies (SEO, newsletters, LinkedIn) and grow our online community, exploring monetisation avenues like email marketing and referral schemes. You will also be involved in pitching to higher level potential clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in shaping the future of our platform and the creator-brand ecosystem.


What you will get to do:

  • Growth strategy development: Create and execute a comprehensive growth strategy that aligns with the company's objectives of building a leading curated marketplace. Test new channels, platforms, tools, and systems to create growth
  • Enterprise sales: Targeting, pitching and winning new high level creators & brands for our team to then support. Selling new ideas to agency & brand partners
  • Platform sales: Using a data led approach to acquire and retain social media creators and brands (content marketing, working with video creators)
  • Platform retention & activity enhancement: Working with our product team to improve onboarding, activation and user experience. Develop retention strategies through segmentation and targeted lifecycle marketing
  • Team leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a growth team specialised in creator and brand acquisition, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. This will include finding and managing key contractors who will support in growth (SEO, email marketing, content creation)
  • Cross-Functional Working: collaborate closely with the Partnerships and Product teams through regular meetings, cross-functional task forces, shared goals, metrics, and capacity planning, ensuring alignment and collaborative success in acquiring and retaining creators and brands
  • Budget management: Manage and optimise the growth marketing budget, ensuring that investments result in positive ROI


Who we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who has experience in leading the successful growth of an online community, platform or startup. This would ideally be an ex-founder or someone with experience in growing a distinct segment of a business. We seek someone who is capable of building, training and leading a team, refining and improving processes, winning new clients and analysing data. Pitching and sales experience with brand & agency partners is key.

In addition, we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years experience and demonstrated success in building businesses or leading and executing growth strategy
  • University degree and strong academic background
  • A data driven and analytical mindset, with advanced analytical tools experience
  • Experience within user and client acquisition / growth hacking, with a key focus on one area of expertise (e.g. product marketing, SEO, email marketing, content marketing)
  • Ideally experience with email marketing tools such as ActiveCampaign, QuickMail or MailChimp
  • Advanced CRM experience using platforms like Zendesk
  • Someone with resilience and tenacity
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a results-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Ideally able to work from our Edinburgh city centre office at least 2-3 days per week
  • Must be fully authorised to work in the UK (we would not offer visa sponsorship)
