Location: Rotherham
Salary: 80,000 to 100,000 plus benefits (dependent upon experience)
We are working with a leading heavy manufacturing company, to secure a new Head of Health & Safety. This is a great opportunity to lead and develop strategy for Health and Safety across their UK manufacturing sites.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will oversee Health and Safety operations across a number of factories, producing high quality heavy industrial products. The company has a reputation for quality and Health and Safety is vitally important to senior management and all stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Head of Health and Safety will include:
Driving improvements in Health and Safety performance through strategic gap analysis, developing programmes to reduce risk and strive for best practiceLeading the overall strategy for health, safety and environment, security and training in line with UK standards and policies, supporting the drive towards continuous improvementManaging and leading a team of Health, safety and environmental professionals across operational sites throughout the UKEngaging with employees across the business, including working with business unit leads, function leads and heads of operation, to drive a positive Health and Safety cultureThe successful Head of Health and Safety candidate will have:
Proven experience in similar organisations, ideally within high risk or complex manufacturing and engineeringProven leadership and management experience within a national and multi–site role and an ability to communicate and engage with a wide range of stakeholdersA strong technical knowledge across Health and Safety legislation, with relevant professional qualifications and membership of relevant professional body (e.g. CMIOSH)The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape policy and strategy for a leader in their field.
