Are you a seasoned HR professional with a passion for shaping policies and strategies?

Slough Borough Council is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Head of HR Policy and Strategy.

What you'll be doing:

As the Head of HR Policy and Strategy, your primary responsibility is to lead and manage the council's HR Policy & Strategy services. This encompasses HR policy, reward and recognition, employee relations, manager and staff capability, equality, diversity, and inclusion and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will serve as the council's most senior technical expert on HR Policy and employment law matters, advising a range of senior stakeholders directly and with the support of an expert team.

What you'll have:

Qualifications: Full CIPD membership or equivalent experience.

Experience: Substantial HR experience, proven track record in policies and procedures.

Skills: Excellent Policy and Strategy development, strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge: Expert understanding of modern HR practices, HR service management, and employment law frameworks.
