Head of Identity & Access Management
Hybrid Working – 2 days a week in our Guildford office

Role Description
The Head of Identity and Access Management (IAM) is responsible, working closely with both the business and our outsourced partners, for the set up and ongoing management of the new IAM Governance Function, ensuring the roll-out and implementation of the IAM Target Operating Model (TOM) aligns with both the Global TOM and local regulatory and UK and specific policies.

The role will be required to build effective, positive working relationships across the business functions to support the end outcomes required by the Identity and Access Management model. This will include supporting and remediating any actions resulting from audits as well as interacting with Risk, Internal and External Audit.

The key aspects of the role are highlighted below:

  • Create, maintain and manage Business Roles and IAM Domains in the Business Role Management tool based on business know-how collected from Business Owners and Line Managers
  • Interact with Service Owners / IAMaaS during periodic reviews and while creating new Business Roles to support correct matching of Business Roles to Entitlements
  • Drive creation of Segregation of Duties matrices and their implementation in the Business Role Management Tool
  • Ensure that Business Roles do not violate Segregation of Duties Restrictions
  • Drive the collection and provision of materials/documentation for audit procedures
  • The recruitment and ongoing management of Identity and Access Management Team
  • Provide recommendations on how to maintain and manage the Business Role Management Tool to Group IAM Business Operations
  • Promote knowledge sharing among IAM stakeholders inside the Operating Entity (OE) and engage in knowledge exchange with other OEs
  • Prepare and submit status and progress reporting
Skills
  • Sound understanding of the IAM TOM Business Role Taxonomy and IAM Domains as well as RBAC and organizational processes
  • Solid understanding of Business Role Management Tools
  • Ability to organise complex information
  • Ability to lead a team and support professional development of team members
  • Understanding of IT risk management processes
  • Management of third parties – especially offshore
  • Deep understanding of outsource vendor governance and management practices
  • Maintaining technical service documentation
  • High quality analytical skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • High communication and collaboration capabilities
  • High level of reliability, dedication, and commitment
  • Efficient time management skills, flexibility and ability to effectively manage various priorities
  • Excellent communication skills; approachable; authoritative; diplomatic; demonstrates empathy; strong focus on performance measurement, management and talent development
  • Ability to establish relationships across all business and functional areas and act in a consultative manner to identify the IAM requirements applicable to each business area and to intertwine security needs with the goals and objectives of the organization
  • Understanding of outsource vendor governance and management practices
Experience
  • Experience in a combination of Information Security, Information Technology and Identity and Access Management
  • Understanding of international standards and best practices (ISO27001, ITIL, COBIT) and regulatory environments
  • Experience in designing, implementing and running Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance processes in a global and diverse environment
  • Background in Identity Governance Administration (IGA) and related IAM architectures and market tools
  • Experience in the development of dashboards and reporting
