We are recruiting for an extremely high-profile and exciting role working for a global multi-technology business.

In addition to their technology and product offering, this business plays an important thought leadership and influencing role in relation to decarbonisation and net zero projects in particular in the UK, Sweden, Netherlands and increasingly in the US. Led from the respective Global Technology Centres, this business is involved in multiple government, industry and community forums aimed at enabling the industry to thrive whilst eliminating it's negative impact on the environment.

The role will report directly to the CTO with a dotted line to the parent company General Counsel. You will be involved in strategy, protection and management of its intellectual assets, providing legal advice and support on technology and intellectual property / commercial matters.

The role will encourage a culture of innovation by supporting and recognizing employees for their contributions to intellectual property creation, fostering collaboration within the organization and with external partners to maximize the value and utilization of intellectual property.

We're looking for someone with the following:

• at least 8 years legal experience, ideally with a mixture of private practice and in-house experience
• able to think strategically in a high technology setting, whilst maintaining sharp legal drafting and negotiation skills with excellent attention to detail
• people management experience
• proven track record in advising on a range of complex IP issues
• proactively develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders
• able to develop a good understanding of technical subjects in order to engage actively in the subject matter and guide decision making
