Zurich Dublin Technology Center is looking for a Head Of IT Lifecycle Management (Lifecycle Office)
The role of Head of IT Lifecycle Management is an senior position with the portfolio design team in our Infrastructure & Service Management team. In this role, you join a team of highly skilled, multi-discipline professionals responsible for the end-to-end ownership and delivery of all Infrastructure services. Successful candidate will be responsible for developing, sustaining and improving all IS&M products through industry best proactive Lifecycle Management of hardware and software. You will be provided with guidance and training to facilitate your development within this role.

Your Role

AsHead of IT Lifecycle Management your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

- Work with product owners to deliver an enterprise-wide view of technical debt and prioritize efforts to address it.
- Identify where teams are making sacrifices or using workarounds and shortcuts that cause a product to deviate from its non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to understand their requirements and align technology Lifecycle Management strategies with their needs.
- Lead the identification and evaluation of technical debt across various technology solutions and systems.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize and manage technical debt, including prioritizing technical debt reduction initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams to address technical debt during the software development lifecycle.
- Monitor and track progress in reducing technical debt and communicate the status to stakeholders.
- Ensure that technical debt reduction efforts are aligned with the overall technology roadmap and business objectives.
- Work closely with IT governance teams to ensure compliance with policies and standards related to technical debt management.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in managing technical debt.
- Establish a consistent approach for measuring technical debt across the organization, including defining metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the level and impact of technical debt.
- Develop frameworks and tools to facilitate the measurement and tracking of technical debt over time.
- Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to implement the consistent approach for measuring technical debt and ensure its adoption throughout the organization.

Your Skills and Experience

As Head of IT Lifecycle Managementyour skills and qualifications will include:
Required:


• 7+ years' experience in Information Technology
• Experience of managing cross-functional/cross-discipline teams in a large-scale enterprise environment
• Relevant degree or diploma programme of study
• Experience of working data analysis tools and methods (Microsoft PowerBI, for example)
• Proven experience of working within supplier-led service delivery models
• Project/Program management experience tracking large initiatives through multiple responsible teams/suppliers


Technical Skills:


• Experience with software engineering practices both traditional and DevOps methodologies
• Knowledge of Architectural principles and practices
• Systems monitoring & discovery concepts and tools
• Demonstrated quality management and process improvement experience

Additional Information


Primary work location is Trident House, Dublin. Position is Dublin-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
