Job description

Head of Manufacturing

We are delighted to have been retained by Cunningham with this new position of Head of Manufacturing. With a rich history spanning nearly 65 years, Cunningham is now a global leader in the supply of innovative protective covers. Its products, which use advanced materials, supply sectors as diverse as aviation to aquaculture and are sold globally from the UK and Ireland to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South America, and Australia.

As a highly ambitious company, Cunningham has ventured into new international markets and is undergoing a substantial capital investment and expansion initiative, poised to increase manufacturing capacity by almost 40%. In the context of this growth ambition, the newly appointed Head of Manufacturing will spearhead a new era of state-of-the-art production and commercial success.

In addition to managing manufacturing operations, the successful candidate will lead important strategic business improvement projects, including ERP implementation. You will further develop the continuous improvement philosophy that will be critical in ensuring Cunningham retains its market-leading position and optimises its commercial performance.

We are keen to hear from talented senior production or manufacturing managers who have been hugely impactful in their careers, ideally having gained experience within a low-volume, high-variety production environment. Your inspirational leadership skills and ability to build high-performing teams will have been central to your success.

As a data-driven professional, you should be passionate about systems integration, with exposure to ERP or similar manufacturing software, and recognise the value of data insights in decision-making.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and inspirational leader who is ready to advance their career. The competitive remuneration package and significant personal growth opportunities, which will potentially lead to the role of General Manager, make this a compelling prospect.

To apply, and receive a Candidate Briefing Document, please click apply. Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 7th June 2024

Cunningham values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunities employer.
