This is an exciting opportunity to join our client in a job share role as Head of Marketing and Communications (Internal Comms) working alongside the current Head of Marketing and Communications as they continue to grow as an adult social care provider.
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum pro rata
Hours: 20 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent - Part time (20 hours across 3 days)

About the role
The Marketing and Communications team exists to raise the profile of our client so they can best support people with learning disabilities, autistic people and those with mental health support needs across the capital. They work collaboratively to communicate key messages that convey the impact of the important work they do.
This job share role will focus on internal communications, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure clear, consistent communication across the organisation to support and influence engagement and decision making.
The successful applicant will be supported by the Internal Communications Manager and Officer and work with people across the organisation to plan and strategically manage internal communications according to their strategy and objectives.
This role would suit somebody with excellent writing and editing skills and extensive stakeholder management experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody looking to put their internal communications skills to work in a challenging and rewarding environment.
The role of the Head of Marketing and Communications (Internal Comms) is to provide inspired, skilled leadership in all aspects of internal communications, and to provide support to the wider Marketing and Communications team, including External Communications, where necessary.
Duties will include:
- Plan and deliver the internal communications aspects of the Marketing and Communications Plan, in line with the strategic goals and business requirements of the organisation.
- Work with the Diversity & Inclusion Business Partner to deliver an internal communications plan that includes key religious and cultural festivals / events with planned content, and to promote our client’s Diversity & Inclusion forums.
- Review and improve intranet functionality, including analytics, and improve two-way engagement for all colleagues, identifying the right channels for different roles.
- Work closely with HR to oversee effective communications that increases colleague engagement for a range of initiatives, including learning, development and wellbeing.
- Work with teams across the organisation to ensure effective communication from all areas of the organisation.
About you
To be Head of Marketing and Communications (Internal Comms), the following are essential:
- Experience of managing a team in a comms environment
- Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering Internal Comms strategies across a range of channels
- Experience of advising senior people on key aspects of communications
- Experience of leading projects and campaigns from start to finish, with a track record of meeting deadlines
- Experience of communicating Diversity & Inclusion strategies
- Experience of increasing reach and engagement across organisations
