The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour and one of the most important collections of its type in the world, housed at its headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, its historic home at the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.This role is pivotal in helping the organisation achieve its goals and bring the Royal Armouries brand to more people than ever before. This is both a strategic and an operational role, closely supporting the Director of Brand & Audiences in devising and delivering the Annual Operating Plan.The role takes ownership for all corporate communications, public relations, crisis communications and internal communications to ensure consistency and boost the Royal Armouries’ reputation. They work across the organisation to galvanise action to deliver impressive results in terms of building income generation and audience engagement.
This position is a permanent working full time, 36 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. Weekend, Bank Holiday and evening working will occasionally be required, as will some travel.
