Artemis Human Capital aredelighted to be assisting our client, a leading global manufacturing firm, asthey look to recruit a Head of Operations.

Role
·H&S- Ensure the organisation complies with Health and Safety and other legalobligations at all times and develop a culture of continuous improvement inhealth and safety.
·PlanetPassionate – Leading Net Zero Energy projects across the Business Unit andensure their delivery within required timescales.
·Compliance- Ensure that all product compliance requirements are always met, including allregulatory controls required from a business, sector and regional perspectiveare managed and are current, including but not exclusively ISO 9001, 14001 and45
·Leadership- Effective leadership and development of the Operational Management teams toenable them to perform to the standards required by the business, setting clearperformance objectives and measuring progress against these targets.
·Investment- Prepare and manage all current assets and present clear business cases forcapex investment and ensure they are implemented on time and within agreedbudgets.
·CostManagement – to manage resources and budgets to ensure effective controls arein place and remain within budget to drive improved returns on investments.
·ContinuousImprovement – set clear goals and objectives for all operations functions todrive profitable growth across the sites. Develop a “lean” culture that keepsmanufacturing operations under constant review, with particular emphasis onimproved processes including automation.
·Quality– Delivering consistently high-quality product that exceed customer and market demandsand foster a culture of ‘right first time every time.’
·Culture- Ensure that the Company’s values are lived by all, communicated, and adheredto consistently.
·Communication- Undertake regular communications and other activities with employees tofoster a culture of employee engagement at all levels of the business.
·PeopleDevelopment - develop succession plans, talent development and management withmanagers and other key staff as well as fostering a culture of investment inemployees.
·Any other duties or tasks that are inkeeping with the scope of this role.
Experience needed to besuccessful:
·Proven leadership with at least5 years’ operational management experience, within a manufacturing/ engineeringorganisation.
·Successful track record ofleading a large operational team.
·Exceptional leadership andpeople skills, tough and resilient, whilst being able to manage throughdelegation.
·Knowledge of safety, quality andcost objectives.
·Strong leadership and peoplemanagement skills.
·Performance driven with a provenrecord of success within a manufacturing environment.
·Must have the ability to adhereto and champion the Company’s values of Integrity, Accountability, Innovation,Teamwork and Courage.
·Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to coach and mentor staff.
·Committed to continuousimprovement, well-versed in Lean manufacturing and sourcing and other businessimprovement methodologies.
·Highly organised andself-motivated.
·Numerate and possessing goodanalytical skills, with experience of tracking production statistics,variances, KPIs etc. Computer literate.
·Ability to travel and possess afull, clean driving licence.
