Field Based - Covering the whole of the UK predominantly the middle of the country

Position overview:

Reporting to, and in conjunction with the Operations Director, the Head of Operations will co-ordinate all Field Service operations across the UK and responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of all the company’s power generation facilities in the UK.

Key responsibilities:

• Key focus will be to take a lead role ensuring maximum production and performance of our Power Generation sites by proactive implementation of Maintenance Schedules, manning levels and spare parts storage, Condition based monitoring and continuous improvement
• Supervising the Regional Operations Managers
• Supervising Gas/Diesel and BESS sites across the UK
• Implementing company-provided health and safety programmes and assist in the development of these programmes, ensuring compliance at all times with health and safety legislation.
• Ensuring compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements relating to operating sites.
• Assist in developing Operations budgets relating to new and existing sites
• Support and lead other key departments within the business both internally and externally when required
• Support and drive strategic projects including those related to service tools and the big data strategy
• Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovation
• Focus on operational performance and efficiency targets
• Monitoring costs and spending in line with budgets and company approval processes.
• Working with Trading and Optimisation to maximise asset availability during scarcity events
• Supporting and complying with Company Policies as documented in the Company Conditions of Employment.

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience within power generation (Desirable)
• NVQ level 5 or equivalent (Trade Specific)
• IOSH Managing Safely
• ILM Level 5 Leadership Training
