This is an extremely exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy to join CPRE during the build up to this significant milestone in CPRE’s history, in celebrating our centenary in 2026.
The Head of Partnerships & Philanthropy is a pivotal role as we build towards our centenary year, enabling us to secure funding partners who have shared values and a love of the countryside.
We are seeking an energetic, inspiring and skilled fundraiser who will lead engagement with key funding partners particularly corporates, trusts & foundations and high net worth individuals, developing and delivering stewardship and cultivation opportunities to attract and enhance long-term relationships.
You will have the drive and ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all CPRE teams, and the wider network, leading the development of sponsorship, and wider work programmes to develop significant funding opportunities.
Your experience will help you to develop and deliver a strategy to secure philanthropic and partnership funding through long-term funding partnerships, along with being responsible for setting, managing and reporting on budgets for P&P’s portfolio of activities, along with achieving and exceeding income goals.
You will be a strong leader, with the ability to manage a small team ensuring fulfilment of strategic objectives and values, efficient use of resources, and having excellent communication to engage widely across the charity.
As part of the Management Team, you will ensure that P&P fundraising is consistent with the charity’s broader goals and ensure professional presentation of the charity to all funding sources with all team members adhering to best practice in fundraising, including the use of data, confidentiality and acknowledgment.
You will be a role model for CPRE’s values and behaviours and coach teams/individuals to do the same with proactive responsibility for own development and that of others through learning, networking, self-appraisal and other opportunities for growth.
CPRE places high value on equality. We treat everyone with respect and consideration because we know it’s the right thing to do. We also know that diverse teams make much better decisions, are more creative and more stimulating to work in. So, if you join us, you will be able to help us put equality, the environment and diversity at the centre of everything we do. We hope you like the sound of the job and will take the time to apply!
