Leading the Procurement function you will manage objectives and targets to develop the teams through ongoing performance measurement. Developing a Procurement strategy, you will also deliver on targets and savings set out in budgeted saving plans. Engaging with key suppliers and stakeholders you will optimise Procurement initiatives, delivering breakthrough performance on cost, service, and quality.

What you will be doing:
- Develop and deliver a Procurement Strategy that aligns with the business strategy to deliver the targeted benefits and financial savings that meets the budgeted savings plans.
- Lead, manage and develop the Procurement function by setting objectives and targets and providing ongoing performance measurement.
- Drive operational improvements within the Procurement function to deliver increased efficiency and effectiveness
- Lead and drive business wide best practice to Procurement processes and policies
- Define and manage key supplier relationships, across all spend categories, to deliver breakthrough performance on cost, service, and quality.
- Design and implement reporting mechanisms for cost savings performance, capturing budgeted, realised and project savings across the business and proactively measure supplier performance through financial and non-financial metrics
- Engage support and agreement from key stakeholders to ensure that the implementation of Procurement initiatives are optimised throughout the lifecycle of supplier relationships
- Lead, manage and drive improvements for all forecasting activities relating to inventory and other relevant procurement activities
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrable experience within senior Procurement/Purchasing role, ideally MCIPS accredited
- Experience in managing both direct and indirect materials, goods, and services.
- Experience leading and developing a Procurement/Purchasing Team to success
- Commercially astute with demonstrable experience implementing a procurement strategy, that proactively drives business change and cost reduction
- Ability to negotiate third party contracts with significant variation in value and duration, ensuring best value and that terms and quality standards are monitored and met
- Evidenced experience of delivering tangible benefits with the supply chain
- Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, both internally and with key external stakeholders
- Procurement cost management and costs analysis skills
- High level of IT competence, specifically, ERP systems and MS Office packages, including Excel
- Experiencing working within the technology/electronics industry would be advantageous
