Manage a team of local category managers and specialists being responsible for the team performance and people management.
Manage and coordinate local Procurement activities, build a strong Procurement organization in the local market recognized as trusted partner by the business for excellence in sourcing, operation and transaction. Act as role model in supplier and stakeholder management and drive one team spirit across procurement.
In this position you will be:
- Manage and develop local procurement team aligned with procurement’s strategy and vision. Be an advocate of Procurements sustainability agenda thriving our CSR.
- Support development of above market category strategy by aligning / outlining local business needs with group category requirements, facilitating implementation including contracting and allocating resources as required.
- As a member of extended the Procurement Leadership Team, define functional goals and the Procurement strategy / governance while contributing to development & recognition of the function internally and externally.
- Implement Procurement policies, procedures and systems locally. Create risk awareness within the team, ensure compliance and initiate corrective actions in case of deviations.
- Drive operational and transactional excellence.
- Build strong internal stakeholder relationship and ensure business satisfaction with procurement organization and supplier performance.
- Act as a change ambassador for continuous improvement in sourcing, governance, people management and value delivery. Lead discussions with internal stakeholders to identify further Integrated Spend Management/ Total Cost of Ownership opportunities. Support the local business in defining their plans, budgets and strategies.
- Ensure supplier management is executed appropriately according to the SRM strategy including monitoring supplier performance.
- Promote one team spirit between countries and categories to enable best practices, synergies and leverage.
- Deliver against targets, monitor and track results, initiate actions in case of deviations.
- Manage functional budget as agreed with Country Operations Lead.
Qualification Criteria
- University degree, preferably in Business related field (Master degree preferred)
- Proficiency in English
- 7+ years of professional experience, whereof 4+ years in Procurement
- International experience (from multinational company)
- Experience from an above-market role
- 5+ years of proven managerial experience
- MS office advanced, Procurement platform/-s and ERP experience
