Location: Trust Schools, Central Trust Office, Haverhill / working from home

Salary: Grade 8 SP 40-45(FTE £54,429 - ££60,470 per annum)

Contract type: Full Time

Contract term: Permanent

We are seeking a Head of Procurement to join our growing Central Team.

This is a permanent role for the successful candidate to lead the procurement function across the Trust. The postholder will also play a key role in the on-going development of the Trust procurement – ensuring compliance, value for money and effective cost management across all areas of Trust spend.

The role requires a strong commercial acumen as well as experience in working within public sector organisations, ideally in the Education sector (but not essential) to ensure that schools, their children and the organisation benefits from creating economies of scale and best possible contract negotiations.

You will have responsibility for managing existing contractual activities as well as developing new relationships with key suppliers, assessing opportunities and ensuring that growth is sustainable and built on solid long-term relationships.
