3D are looking for someone with prior experience of working within a Quality Management position within Education, preferable Adult Education and with experience of working with a variety of co-horts with significant barriers to join our team. The successful candidate will be the trusted Ofsted nominee and Quality of Education Lead. The successful candidate will be expected to work to understand the organisation, our strengths and what more we can do to support our team, our learners and continue to differentiate ourselves, whilst maintaining our high expectations.
Working across Adult Education and other commercial streams this role offers an exciting opportunity to support the continued growth of the business in existing sectors including Care, Mental Health, Housing, Addiction, Learning difficulties, Housing, Schools / Parent groups and exploration of new sectors. We are passionate about using our Adult Education and Community learning budgets to support learners with significant barriers to thrive and to support employers to upskill their workforces.
The successful candidate will work very closely with Directors and Team Manager to over see the Self Assessment Planning and Quality Improvement process and lead Curriculum development. They will ensure continuation and strengthening of quality assurance processes and procedures already in place, sustaining the culture of continuous improvement as the organisation grows, be a problem solver and bring fresh ideas to support the team and our learners.
Key Job Role Responsibilities;
- To lead the Quality Improvement strategy, to continuously monitor intent and impact and record progress made
- Lead continuous improvement through effective self-assessment annual reporting and interim statements and Quality Improvement planning , working closely with tutors, managers and Directors across the business.
- Creating and writing clear and concise reports to managers, the wider business, the Directors and the Governance Board. Monitor performance against the agreed standards and targets and take necessary intervention actions.
- Oversee curriculum development, including pastoral support, careers and behaviours as well as subject specific curriculum development.
- Lead teaching and learning to improve outcomes for all learners, ensuring learning is well planned in line with the Learner Journey.
- Lead a new approach and reporting mechanism, capturing the distance of knowledge, skills and behaviours progression of our learners
- Cement and drive the quality assurance cycle, working closely with the tutor manager to Quality Assure all aspects of 3D training delivery and the overall learner experience, utilising a variety of tools using a coherent 360 approach, including observations
- Undertaking the role of Ofsted Nominee, ensuring knowledge is current and always up to date with latest guidance, frameworks and inspection themes
- Support and develop the Deputy nominee, arranging opportunities for shadowing and Development
- Oversee EDIMS monitoring, reporting and reviewing our inclusivity strategies
- To lead the policy review annual cycle, updating and writing policies, in conjunction with the SMT team
- Support the requirements of funding bodies, attending forums, meetings and providing information for primes on the Quality Strategy and Quality Assurance evidence
- Deliver the feedback strategy, ensuring learner, stakeholder and employer feedback is captured regularly, effectively, reviewed, reported on and utilised and compliments / complaints addressed appropriately
- Liaise closely with managers to review training plans in line with business objectives and needs arising from quality assurance activities, lead the CPD strategy, including delivery of regular pedagogical CPD to the internal team
- Maintaining and developing positive internal and external partnerships
- Identify areas for growth and Development, from identification, feasibility and lead the implementation of new curriculum / sectors, always focusing on meeting strategic goals and local community needs.
Key Skills and Experience;
- A key team player, who is personable and able to work in a small and growing team, with a flexible and supportive approach
- Ofsted nominee experience is an essential requirement of this role and a detailed understanding of the EIF is essential, along with experience of managing the Self Assessment Process.
- The right candidate will have a strong track record of managing quality assurance systems within the Learning and Development industry, preferably with experience within Adult Education, with experience of working with Adults with a range of significant barriers
- Ideally the candidate would be familiar with PICS, however this is not mandatory, they will need to understand how to interpret and interrogate learner and outcome data
- An innovative approach with experience of supporting tutors and managers in order to continue to drive forward our positive and encouraging culture
- Ability to plan, be organised, work productively with initiative and drive output within timescales, whilst maintaining attention to detail and of maintaining the highest quality at all times
- Must be a strong communicator, with excellent presentation skills, confident liaising with internal team, clients, tutors, partners and suppliers to ensure all stakeholders are equipped with relevant information
- Possess an understanding of the financial impact of the Quality Function
- Able to demonstrate commercial acumen, having experience of identifying areas for growth, with a track record of implementing new programmes / curriculums, where necessary having built and implementing new teams
- Have a minimum of two years’ experience in a management or lead quality assurance role
- Have a positive commitment to inclusive learning, with a good understanding of SEN and leading quality of education that supports Adult learners with a variety barriers to learners
- The successful candidate will hold a positive approach and demonstrate a passion to making a difference with our learners and the communities we work
Important information
- The successful candidate will be required to travel across Liverpool City Region and Cheshire to undertake deep dives and quality assurance activities as a part of their role
- Candidates applying must be a car owner, hold a valid UK driving license and once in post have business use car insurance in place
- The role will be office based, with flexibility for some home working and some travel
- Flexibility around working hours would be considered based on business requirements
