Job Introduction
Main Responsibilities
- Manage effective risk control against associated regulation.
- Mitigate risk management in line with the Banks risk management framework including risk and compliance policies and procedures.
- Reporting and escalation of risk control is effective to the committees and forums as appropriate.
- Responsible for all processes in relation to product Governance and Reporting.
- Monitors operational risk activities to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to effectively manage, report and mitigate operational risks in line with the Bank’s risk management framework, ensuring timely and appropriate escalation where required.
- Ensures that operational risks and control findings identified by other functions in the Bank such as audit, compliance, change or information security are appropriately captured in the relevant risk.
- Responsible for Committee reporting including but not limited to, Executive Committee (ExCo), Monitoring Risk and Compliance Committee (MRCC), Board Risk and Compliance Committee (BRCC) and Product Committee (PC).
- Provides input and support the delivery of additional / ad-hoc risk requests including external regulator requests, change the identification and assessment of risks created or impacted as a result of ‘change’.

- Experience working in a risk management discipline with operational risk frameworks, policies and 1LOD working practices.
- Sound knowledge of the UK regulatory environment.
- Lead by example; be driven, have high levels of personal accountability, not being afraid to be hands-on and get into the detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyze, articulate and present complex issues clearly and concisely.
- Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels
