My client, a leading logistics, supply chain and distribution group, is currently engaged in an enterprise-wide business improvement and optimisation transformation.
The Group Transformation Director is now establishing their team to lead this endeavour. As such, my client is seeking to hire a Head of Programme Management Office.
This is a permanent role and candidates wishing to apply for this role will need to available relatively quickly (circa 4 weeks) as long notice periods will not align with the programme's timetable. This will be a hybrid role. Some on-site time in London will be required each week, but it is likely to be the case that the majority of the role can be done remotely from home.
This is a complex group-wide Programme with many workstreams (business operations, technology, supply chain, digital innovation) with multi interdependencies, risks and issues.
Candidates wishing to apply for this role
• Should have significant PMO experience gained from working on complex programmes at sizeable organisations
• Will review and maintain robust Programme Management support strategy, ensuring processes, procedures and techniques are executed to a high standard within the transformation team
• Be able to demonstrate that they have successfully led in designing and establishing Programme Management Offices (PMOs) for cross-functional programmes.
• Are likely to have a mixture of consulting and industry experience
• Be a highly effective, capable and influential communicator that will collaborate as part of the core transformation team
• Will be an experienced project management leader / Change Management practitioner who will have had exposure to various Programme Management approaches e.g. agile, hybrid, prosci, waterfall,
