We are now looking for a Head of Programmes to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Role
As our Head of Programmes, you will lead on the production of professional development programmes to the engineering community.
Leading a team of five programme managers and conference producers, you will work across multiple delivery formats and subject matters, curating training and conference programmes (among others) for the global engineering community.
You will focus on technical content, prioritising our values of integrity and impact alongside balancing our commercial and quality objectives.
This key leadership role will also see you:
- Representing our Programme development ambitions across a variety of delivery formats
- Overseeing production and delivery of commercial and Learned Society events
- Acting as the escalation point for key events
- Leading our approach to product development across new and existing formats
- Supporting the identification of potential new event topic areas
- Ensuring the new product pipeline is validated
- Achieving the overall programme revenue of circa £4m
- Setting up and leading a programme development board
About You
To be considered as our Head of Programmes, you will need:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire others
- To be strategically aware with the ability to manage the product lifecycle across a portfolio of delivery formats
- The ability to produce correspondence and customer-facing copy to a consistently high standard
- The ability to analyse ideas from both commercial and knowledge-focused perspectives
- The ability to rapidly develop competent knowledge on diverse and highly technical topics
- Strong research skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth research interviews
- Sound project management skills
