Job description

As part of the Belfast Region City Deal (BRCD) the £66m Momentum One Zero (formerly Global Innovation Institute (GII)) Innovation Centre is seeking to appoint a Head of Project Delivery to lead delivery of this exciting opportunity. As Momentum One Zero’s Project Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering this strategic vision for Queen’s University Belfast. Reporting to the M1.0 Executive Director and Deputy Director Strategic Programmes within a matrixed Programme Delivery Team the primary focus of the Head of Project Delivery is to develop and manage multiple-work streams of activity in particular the Full Business Case for Momentum One Zero, oversee project resources and mitigate risks and issues with the support of the BRCD Programme Office. The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria: Undergraduate qualification in a relevant area (e.g. health & life science / physical sciences / technology). Significant senior management experience within a relevant research and innovation environment. Recent relevant experience leading a complex and large scale project (£1m+) including manging people, finances and programme of work. Strong track record of working successfully with multiple stakeholders to deliver project level outcomes, demonstrating strong influencing and coalition-building skills. Evidence of strategic stakeholder management and sustained partnership building activities, including government, academia and business. Please note the above are not an exhaustive list. This post is available on a fixed term contract for 12 months, or available until 31 July 2025, whichever is sooner. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
