To support the continued growth and success of the Department of Sociology at the University of Warwick, we are looking to appoint two new Assistant Professors in Sociology. The successful candidates will be joining one of the UK’s leading Sociology Departments. The Department was ranked 10th in the 2021 REF. About You The successful candidates will excel at research-led teaching and contribute to the successful development and delivery of the department’s undergraduate and postgraduate Sociology, Criminology, and interdisciplinary programmes. They will have the ability to teach in core areas of Sociology (including social theory and/or research methods) with specific expertise in the following areas: Post 1: gender and sexuality (particularly to support our new MA in Gender and Sexuality and our existing MA in Gender and International Development). Post 2: critical criminology and justice. (We welcome critical approaches to criminology that consider questions of social justice and/or global perspectives. We particularly encourage applications from those researching media & cultural criminology, green criminology, borders and/or state and corporate violence.)
