Our client is seeking a Head of Project Finance to join their team on a permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Prepare, present and update an appropriate Project & Infrastructure Finance strategy to the Senior Management
- Actively engage in developing and enhancing contacts in the market across equity investors, banks and advisors with the view to originate new business opportunities
- Co-ordinate the various business activities (business development / origination and execution), of the Team, including:
- Clients meetings and regular relationship coverage of key clients
- Preparation of ad hoc pitches for arranging mandates;
- Overseeing and performing the following tasks across the team execution activities:
- Structuring of lending transactions;
- Undertaking legal, financial and technical due diligence reviews;
- Interrogation of financial models;
- Assisting with credit application preparation;
- Presenting transactions to credit committee; and
- Reviewing Project Finance documentation.
- Supervision of the Portfolio Management team;
- Adopt best practices to ensure fit for purpose operating protocols
- Act as a mentor and provide training / education to staff
- Recruit and maintain human resources in accordance with agreed plans, train, develop and lead resources to ensure that targets are met. Manage performance of staff and ensure appropriate training needs are identified;
- To be fully conversant with the AML / CDD / KYC requirements and collaborate with internal business partners to ensure transactions are completed, funded and proactively managed
Skills Required:
- An excellent knowledge of the Project & Infrastructure Finance market, including debt structures and transaction documentation across the infrastructure and energy sectors including transportation, power, renewables, telecom infrastructure and hybrid / core plus, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant origination and execution experience;
- Track record of successful structuring and execution of complex structured finance debt transactions in the infrastructure and varying sectors including renewables and energy;
- Strong commercial sense, deal driven with a long-term client relationship focus;
- Robust credit analysis and excellent presentation skills;
- Extensive network of contacts across equity investors, advisors and banks in the project and infrastructure market
