About the role:
Cadent have an exciting, new opportunity for a Head of Property to join their team.
As Head of Property at Cadent you will report directly into the Director of Finance & Property. The main function of the Head of Property is to own and drive the Cadent Property strategy, manage the depots and offices within the Cadent property portfolio and oversee the provision of valuable hard and soft FM services, including critical infrastructure FM resilience.

Alongside the above you will also ensure that all aspects of the supply chain and ways of working remain compliant for the occupied estate, being responsible for setting medium and long-term business strategy and governance for Cadent property occupation, including rationalisation of accommodation to reduce opex.
We are therefore looking for someone who has the ability to effectively manage a large property portfolio with exceptional stakeholder management skills as you will develop review, and implement appropriate sustainability objectives, targets and improvement programmes for the property portfolio.
Please note that a full UK driving licence will be required in order to be considered for this position.
What you'll get to work on:
- Responsible for the key site infrastructure resilience; designing, procuring and delivering technical projects to maintain critical systems 24/7.
- Lead the facilities management (FM) contracts to ensure reliable cost effective 24/7 operation of all control centres, data centres, offices, and call centres. Deliver comprehensive risk management system for key hard and soft FM services.
- Responsible for managing the leased property portfolio and supporting rent reviews and lease negotiations.
- Lead and develop the property modelling capability to provide the business with industry best practice, new thinking, trends and performance criteria with solid external cross referencing.
- Responsible for overseeing the project management of the maintenance and engineering, building repairs, refurbishment, improvement works and fit-out to all group occupied property.
- Responsible for ensuring the provision and maintenance of robust mechanisms to maintain statutory, regulatory, SHES, policy and legislation compliance of the property estate.
- Ensuring collaborative and effective management of client partnership relationships at senior level.
- Promoting a positive safety culture through visible proactive, consistent and influential behaviours
- Keep the company safe by co-operating with others to ensure a co-ordinated approach to promote a clear understanding of each party’s duties, roles and responsibilities for Safety and Wellbeing – reporting on safety compliance at local sites and incidents occurred
Who are we looking for:
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Practical Experience
- Prior experience in property management at a senior level with proven skills in managing a comprehensive property portfolio.
- Experience in the development and implementation of contracts and supply chain management agreements.
- Confident in supporting businesses using analytical skills, financial and commercial acumen.
- Knowledgeable regarding key site infrastructure resilience management
