We are delighted to offer the opportunity to work as part of a busy professional team leading, developing, and coordinating all aspects of an effective Property Asset Management service throughout the Trust.
NSFT currently provides mental health care across Norfolk and Suffolk to a population of 1.66 million, covering a geographical area of approx. 3500 square miles and operating out of 42 locations. Our sites vary in size, age, ownership and uses, with all forms of tenure and extends to approximately 81600 sqm of occupied floor space.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead the Trust's Property Asset Management Team in providing client-side professional advice, implementing initiatives and objectives set out in the draft estates strategy and developing strategic plans for the future.
The post holder will be a member of the Senior Management Team working closely with all other function leads within the Trust to achieve a customer focused service delivery model. The post holder will report directly to the Director of Estates & Facilities regarding all Property Asset Management and sustainability issues.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need to provide an effective strategic property management service to the Trust. The post holder will advise, conceive, and promote new initiatives for the effective management of services and be responsible for the development and delivery of the Trusts property related strategic objectives, operational policies, and procedures.
This will require an innovative approach and regular contact with the relevant Locality Managers, Clinicians and Project Managers, to ensure an efficient service are provided for their respective sites and buildings.
The post holder will be required to work with the Director of Estates & Facilities regarding the Trust Estate and then take the lead role in managing all property title and transactions functions including acquisition and disposals of estate, negotiating leases and licences both in capacity as Landlord and Tenant, property searches, technical building surveys, appointing specialist technical contractors, property contracts management, statutory compliance, property risk assessments, correct registration of Property titles and advising the Trust of their responsibilities under the terms of leases and licences.
Implement and manage successful and sustainable environmental policies and practices including the creation and updating of the Trust ‘Green Plan.’ To lead on development of business cases and funding applications relating to the progress of sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
