Job summary
Beach Baker is partnering with a private investment and asset management company to recruit a new Head of Property / Managing Director.Join a traditional family property company and manage a portfolio of office, industrial, retail, and residential properties.Guaranteed interesting work, high level of autonomy, and lots of responsibility and accountability.
Job seniority: director level and above
Responsibilities
• Leading a nationwide team of 10-12 property professionals.• Managing staff motivation, training, work allocation, and KPIs.• Asset management including leases, rent reviews, and service charge budgets.• Identifying and appraising opportunities and implementing refurbishments.• Negotiating and implementing new leases, including dilapidations settlements.• Preparing appraisals for extensions and new builds.• Liaising with agents and solicitors for lettings and maximizing space usage.• Creating quarterly reports for the board.• Building positive relationships with tenants.• Initiating cost reductions and adding value.• Implementing property marketing ideas.• Working with the Development Director on new developments.• Conducting property inspections.• Coordinating with consultants and suppliers.• Managing refurbishment projects.• Overseeing health and safety procedures and energy efficiency.• Coordinating recruitment process of new staff.
Requirements
• Approachable leader and team player.• Diligent and organized approach to work.• Strong commercial property background.• Basic understanding of residential property legislation.• Ability to manage multiple caseloads effectively.• Excellent communication skills.• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and property software packages.• Previous experience in asset management and managing a property team.

Benefits
