Job description

We’re looking for a remote Public Fundraising manager to join our newly formed comms & growth team, which help us grow our income and profile, so that we can support dementia carers for many years to come. You can find out more here…

Job Title:   Public fundraising manager

Reports to:   Director of comms & growth

Contract:   Permanent, full or part time

Hours:    28 – 35 must be available to work Tuesdays and Thursdays,  other days    negotiable

Salary:   £40,000 pa FTE

Location:   Remote, with attendance at in-person meetings required, around    once a month, normally in London 

 

Job purpose

To create and develop the Public Fundraising programme at DCC, developing and growing supporter relationships across individual giving, challenge events and legacies & in-mem to deliver long-term sustainable income.

 

Key responsibilities  

·

·Lead on the development and delivery of the Public Fundraising strategy, working with colleagues across the organisation, to generate agreed annual targets in line with DCC’s plans.

·Be the charity’s expert in Public Fundraising adopting an insight-led approach and advising other departments on work relating to this area.

·Develop and implement a range of campaigns using direct marketing techniques to recruit and retain supporters across multiple products and channels, but with an emphasis on digital.

·Develop and deliver high-quality, creative and effective new fundraising products and initiatives, and drive forward innovation in Public Fundraising.

·Use data and insight to build and grow Public Fundraising income and donor loyalty.

·Work with comms team to develop DCC’s supporter journey, using data analysis and insights to ensure the effective stewardship of supporters.

·Ensure all supporter records are kept up to date, efficient and effective supporter care is carried out and build good relationships with supporters to maximise income generation.

·Set, monitor and report on income and expenditure budgets, key performance indicators and annual work plans as well as longer term financial forecasts.

·Responsible for adhering to all relevant legislative and regulatory obligations relating to fundraising.

·Establishing and documenting key processes and policies across the Public Fundraising programme, working closely with colleagues across the organisation to do so.

·Carry out other duties commensurate with this post as requested.
