Head of Risk | Insurance Broker | London/Remote

Finitas are delighted to be partnered with one of the fastest growing insurance brokers in the UK in their search for a Head of Risk to join their team. Reporting into the Chief Risk Officer, you will be managing the risk function as well as developing the risk strategy and maintaining the framework.

This is a fantastic opportunity that you can make an impact on and help propel the business' risk strategy. You will also have two excellent Risk & Compliance Managers reporting into you.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, gain agreement to and maintain the BBE risk strategy.
• Develop, implement and maintain the BBE Policy Framework.
• Establish and maintain an effective framework/system for recording key risks and controls, for recording accountable owners and for management of actions to address out of tolerance risks.
• Provide assurance to the Risk & Compliance Committee and prepare papers on all risk matters
• Ensure that an appropriate process is in place for the approval and monitoring of the security of insurers.
• Provide specialist and technical risk advice and support to executive committees.
• Manage a team of 2 direct reports and support with the wider risk team.

Experience required:

• Minimum 10 years risk management experience.
• Must be from an insurance broking background.
• Must have experience of managing a team.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels including senior stakeholders and external parties.

Please note you will be required to travel to their various broker partner sites across the UK - this will be around 40% and you will also be required to work in their London office once a week.
