Role/Department:
Responsible for managing the first-line risk management, operational resiliency, and regulatory change management functions within the Capital Markets Business Unit. Accountable for the business unit’s adherence to corporate and regulatory risk, resiliency, outsourcing, and third-party management standards. Serves as the primary liaison for internal audit, compliance, and Capital Markets regulators globally.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Manages the First Line of defense risk function while serving as the primary business unit liaison to the second line of defense risk function
- Manages the regulatory change program for Capital Markets and acts as a central point of contact for regulators on behalf of Capital Markets
- Responsible for incident management processes
- Serves as the primary liaison to the Capital Markets compliance function
- Reviews, advises, and challenges changes to the Capital Markets product offerings
- Oversees the business unit’s operational resiliency framework
- Accountable for the business unit’s adherence with corporate outsourcing and third-party management standards
- Provides leadership across audit engagement lifecycle
- Serves as a member of the Asset Servicing 1st Line of Defense Council
- Responsible for implementing the business unit’s strategic plan and providing risk reporting to the program
- Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages partner participation, teamwork, and communication; set measurable objectives and key results
- Participates in various Asset Servicing and regional risk and resiliency committees as required
