Head of Software Development required for a leading healthcare company based in Burton to be responsible for in leading their development team to create innovative and reliable solutions that drive the success of our business. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Software Development lifecycle in our core enterprise technologies and consumer facing products, ensuring the adoption of modern best practices, and leveraging your expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, DevOps, integrations, and team leadership to deliver high-quality output.
The salary on offer for this position is up to £100,000 per annum plus benefits.
This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days required in either their Burton or London office depending on your location.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Provide guidance and support in technical decision-making, ensuring alignment with business goals and Software Development best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define Software Development strategies that align with the company's goals and roadmap.
- Drive the adoption of modern Software Development practices, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation.
- Develop and execute plans to continuously improve Software Development processes, ensuring streamlined workflows and timely project deliveries
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365, utilizing this knowledge to guide the development of customized solutions that meet business requirements.
- Leverage Git and version control best practices to maintain a well-structured and organized codebase that supports collaboration and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather and prioritize software requirements.
- Plan and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of Software projects.
- Champion software quality by establishing and enforcing coding standards, code reviews, and automated and manual testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure comprehensive testing of Software products, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
Key Skills
- Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing Software Development teams.
- Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Git version control, and integration technologies.
- Strong understanding of modern Software Development practices, including Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
