We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Affinity Water as our Head of Strategic Asset Management where you will be responsible for the development and delivery of long-term asset investment strategies and plans that form the basis of our 5 yearly regulatory business plan and long-term delivery strategy.
As our Head of Strategic Asset Management, we will look for you to provide the thought leadership, insight and ambition that is at the core of the asset element of our £1.5+bn wholesale regulatory business plan. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to use your extensive knowledge and experience of the regulated water sector to define the Strategic Asset Management direction and approach for the business.
As part of this extensive remit, you will be responsible for making decision on the shape and size of our base and enhancement capital programmes, using sophisticated techniques to ensure the plans are well evidenced and represent good value for our customers and shareholders alike.
As this is a senior leadership role within the business, we are looking for you to have the ability to identify, sponsor and lead change projects within you own team and directorate but also across the business, whilst managing a team of 12.
Given the technical nature of this role, we are looking for someone who has experience in all or most of the following:
- Substantial water industry (or other regulated industry) experience gained within Asset Management or regulation discipline.
- Previous senior leader experience including experience of leading regulatory processes across directorates
- Experience of developing successful Asset Management and outcome strategies
- Experience working within an ambiguous and dynamic regulatory environment, prioritising team resources with dynamic workloads
- Significant experience of regulatory price reviews. Preferred experience of Competition and Market Authority processes
This is a unique senior role that has potential to act as a stepping stone to a Director position in the future.
