Drawing on our previous experience, and expert central team you will drive all decision-making to finalise the design of the school, the resourcing of the school, the curriculum, and the entire staff team to deliver your vision. Whilst opening a new school is a significant undertaking, you can be secure of the support of our central team, and two previous successful new schools to ensure you can focus on the vision you wish to deliver for this school and community.

Flying High is a partnership of 33 primary schools, with a significant track record of success. Collectively we aim to impact social change, by making every day count for every child and every community. At the heart of our success is a commitment to working together to deliver the very best for our children and to enable each member of staff to maximise their potential. You will join a team of Headteachers, who work closely together to support development in every school. Alongside our schools, we have a committed central team, with a sharp focus on school improvement. As a Headteacher of a new school you will work alongside a System Leader one day per week, who will support you through both the pre-opening and post opening phases. You will draw upon the expertise of the Director of Education and targeted support through our team of Lead Practitioners and our Inclusion Team to ensure we develop and deliver the very best school to this new community.

Complementing school improvement, you will close with the Deputy CEO to establish the school and draw upon the ongoing support of experts in Finance, HR, Estates, IT and Marketing.

We can offer you:

  • Access to a comprehensive employee assistance programme, and benefits package including cycle to work, financial advice, BHN Extras and other discounts
  • Recognition that all schools are unique, with an approach that supports you to develop and implement your vision for your community.
  • A unique opportunity to shape a new school, vision and team to deliver an exceptional school.

  • Significant school improvement support via an allocated System Leader working with you initially one day per week (pre and post-opening phase), collaboration with our Director of Education to shape your vision, and targeted assistance from our team of Lead Practitioners.
  • Support and partnership from the Deputy CEO to open a brand new school.
  • The opportunity to develop as a leader through significant CPL, support and the opportunity to progress with Trust-wide opportunity.
  • A partnership with relationships at its heart, ensuring a friendly atmosphere encompassing a supportive ethos.
