The City of Liverpool College is the only general FE college in the city and the largest FE college in Liverpool City Region.
It offers the widest, most diverse vocational curriculum in the region and ranges from entry up to degree and post-graduate levels and currently serves more than a third of all the 16-18 year olds in Liverpool and educates almost 12,000 learners each year, with all courses being delivered to the highest standard of learning.
The support staff at the college play a vital part in ensuring that these courses are delivered to the standard of excellence we hold ourselves to, whether through supporting the students directly in their learning, or indirectly through business support roles that keep the day to functions of the college running smoothly.
To ensure and maintain our support teams are maintaining our high standards, we are looking for high quality applicant for the following role:
Health and Safety Advisor
35 Hours per week We would be happy to discuss flexible working patterns and will give due consideration to requests for part time hours
Actual Salary: £32,445
To assist the Director of Estates in implementing Health and Safety (H&S) Strategy across all areas of the College, updating all H&S policies and procedures and monitoring and reporting on compliance. To advise the wider leadership team and all relevant staff on legislation and any changes to legislation and provide practical solutions to ensure compliance. Audit H&S systems across all College sites and advise on non-compliance and provide remedial actions for non-conformity. Monitor and report on all adverse events and carry out RIDDOR reporting and incident investigations where necessary. Provide H&S reports to the H&S Committee and senior management as directed. Identify any H&S related training requirements.
