They are well renowned in Ireland and quickly becoming established in the UK Market with offices in Liverpool, Birmingham, and London. They undertake projects within a variety of sectors including Education, Healthcare, Residential and Sport & Leisure.
About the Role:
Our client is currently looking to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor to be based on their site in Chester on s large residential residential project.
As a HSEQ Advisor, you will:
- Partner with our business unit to support and embed the health, safety and welfare of our team and stakeholders
- Carry out regular inspections on responsive maintenance and notifiable CDM works and resolve any Health And Safety related issues
- Report to the Head of HSEQ and work collaboratively with a HSEQ team that supports the whole business
- Manage procedures, liaise with management and clients and produce written reports and follow ups as necessary
- Be involved in ad hoc projects, process review and improvement implementation
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate and TechIOSH as minimum
- Prior Health and Safety advisory level experience
- Good knowledge of facilities management sector, covering both hard and soft services
- Proven experience in role that specialised in safety management systems
- Good working knowledge and application of health & safety standards and quality systems to manage health & safety to ISO 45001 standard and environmental standards (ISO 14001) and Quality Management System (ISO 9001)
- Track record of successful change management projects in construction
- A full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the borough
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuade, influence and confidently present to others
