Job Description
- Working with the established Health and Safety team to provide practicable and professional advice and assistance to staff at all levels.
- Assisting with & coordinating operational risk assessments for all site's operations.
- Ensuring regular inspections are undertaken and corrective actions are identified and addressed.
- Recording and managing incident reports, and coordinating incident investigations as required.
- Writing up reports, safety bulletins, and newsletters.
- Attend the company Health and Safety committees & produce minutes as required.
- Keeping up to date with, and ensuring compliance with current Health and safety legislation and good industry practice as part of their continuous professional development.
- Contribute to a positive Health and Safety culture by positively influencing behaviour in others to achieve desired outcomes.
- To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Health and Safety Department.
The Successful Applicant
- NEBOSH / Tech ISOH will be ideal
- Knowledge off Scaffolding will be ideal
- knowledge of the Construction industry, moreover an understanding of scaffolding Temporary works and the risks involved with working at height.
- An understanding of the moral, ethical, and financial importance of an effective Health, Safety and Environmental management system.
- Valid & Clean driving licence - will need to travel to projects/meetings.as required. As stated above
- A good knowledge of MS Office applications and able to adapt to new bespoke systems when presented.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to prioritise work demands to ensure an appropriate level of detail is employed at all times.
- Must possess a proactive, positive attitude towards improving Health and Safety standards and developing a positive culture.
