Salary: £40,221 - £43,421 (pro-rata)
Barnsley Council are seeking a permanent, part time, Safety and Health Advisor to join their award-winning council. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Health And Safety of everyone who lives, works, or visits Barnsley. Day to Day of the role:- Provide specialist support to a wide range of council services and external organisations.
- Ensure compliance with all Health And Safety legislation, guidance, and best practice across diverse services, including schools.
- Offer advice and guidance, develop certificated management systems and arrangements, and deliver IOSH accredited training.
- Act as an integral business partner to our services.
- Be part of a wider team responsible for emergency planning and directly involved in the Council’s response to incidents and emergencies.
- Participate in a standby duty rota for out-of-hours service needs, for which additional payment is made.
- Strong track record of achievement relevant to the post, including providing advice and guidance to managers and external agencies.
- Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and plans.
- Skilled in developing, producing, and presenting effective information and training.
- Proficient in developing risk assessments and multi-service working.
