Health and Safety Advisor

We are working with a successful building contractor in NI. They have NI based projects as well as a handful of projects in Dublin and the UK, mostly London.
Due to their success and development in the industry, the company is now seeking to employ an industry experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the team on a permanent basis, working initially on a mix of the NI projects as well as one in Dublin. The right candidate will be able to make their own schedule visiting each of their sites throughout whenever they feel it suitable.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the construction industry and be NEBOSH qualified.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Director, responsibilities to include:
- Carrying out site inspections / audits with photographic evidence and documented report
- Ensuring that all Health and Safety procedures are being adhered to
- Issuing H&S Templates to the internal team
- Monitor and report on site Accidents and incidents and report through internal procedures
- Support and advise on H&S Management and compliance
- Work with department managers to implement a H&S culture
- Promote a proactive H&S approach/attitude among employees and site staff
- Support the Managing Director in developing / improving a healthy Health & Safety culture.
Experience Required:
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
- CSCS holder
- Degree Qualified
- Previous Construction Contractor experience is desirable
- Direct experience of working on site or supporting project related Health & Safety
- Experience of residential construction projects would also be preferable.
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Commercial Awareness
- I.T. literate
- Ability to write clear concise reports
