Optimise by recruitment are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our Mansfield based construction client. The requirements are as follows:
- You will have overall responsibility and compliance of the Company's Health and Safety.
- Advise all employees and subcontractors on all aspects of Health and Safety.
- Manage and maintain all aspects of staff training that is required, carrying out internal training where possible.
- Produce method statements and risk assessments for our sites.
- Carry out routine site inspections and report.
- Keeping company accreditations up to date.
- Carry out full investigation on any accidents and near miss incidents and report as necessary, including R.I.D.D.O.R if required.
- Keep up to date with industry changes and current legislation, attending seminars/workshops that may be available.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in the construction industry with multi-site operations.
- Qualification in occupational Health And Safety, such as a masters, NVQ, BSC or NEBOSH national diploma.
- IOSH membership preferable.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Report writing ability essential.
- Understand the application of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other legislation relevant to the Companies business.
