Health and Safety Manager

As the HSE Manager you will be responsible for leading the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Department to provide a service to Manufacturing, Maintenance and other work groups ensuring ever improving performance based on effective and legally compliant Management Systems.
Responsibilities of the HSE Manager:
- Ensuring that procedures are developed, maintained, and reviewed to manage the Health and Safety Management System.
- Implement practical and effective methods, of promoting Health and Safety and safe working practices in the workplace.
- To Organise and conduct Health and Safety meetings with a cross section of staff and operators and a regular basis.
- To ensure that the comprehensive Health and Safety Action Plan is developed and maintained.
To be successful as the HSE Manager you will be qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate level or equivalent.
The successful candidate will hold at least 5 years working within a HSE Manager position, ideally familiar with a process, chemical, petrochemical, COMAH or related manufacturing operation.
Finally, good communication skills are paramount to the success of this role, along with the ability to help out with any other issues that may occur on site.
