My client is a well established bulk chemicals business, serving the automotive and marine sectors as a result of a forthcoming retirement they are looking for an experienced health and safety professional to join their team
In this role you will manage the Safety and Environmental Management systems, oversee the internal and external audit processes, Chair the Safety & Environmental Committee, manage the Benchmark reporting database, be the go-to person for issues relating to Health and Safety, Environmental management topics, conduct accident investigations and be part of the Global H&S Team working to improve the company's H&S culture.
What are your responsibilities?
- Maintenance and update the H&S and Environmental Management Systems.
- Oversee all Benchmarking reports
- Work with your global QHSE colleagues to make continuous improvements
- Increase participation and engagement in HSE related areas
- Oversee the internal and external audit processes and maintain accreditation to the ISO Standards (14001 & 45001)
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- You will need to have a mind-set that is passionate about the safety of others, making a difference and looking for continuous improvement opportunities
- Hold a NEBOSH Safety qualification, or working towards the General Certificate
- Be a qualified lead auditor in an ISO related discipline
- Working knowledge of risk management and specific hazard related topics such as (Chemicals, Manufacturing, COMAH)
- Production, process and Lean/6S experience
