Reporting directly to the Head of Event Safety and Security,the Senior Event Safety Manager will be responsible for various elements aimed at providing the highest standard of Safety and Public Safety around events.
The ideal candidate should have experience of managing Safety in a similar event-based environment, be a team player with excellent people skills and have experience of managing a team in a similar setting.
Main Responsibilities
Directly support, input and advise on the safety operation around the planning & delivery of varied, regular events with effective management.
Support the production and implementation of strategy, processes and procedures associated with event and public safety to ensure best practice.
Manage a team of Event Safety Advisors to support the delivery of Events.
Work in collaboration with all partners (including security and medical providers) and partner agencies to deliver the highest standard safety operation.
Support, Develop and monitor Event Risk Assessments for all events across the three main venues. Contribute to the wider corporate SEC Risk Assessments and Risk Register process.
Ensure that the SEC complies with all legislation and licensing conditions relating to public safety, Event Safety and develop and monitor relevant processes to register and monitor compliance.
The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience of working and managing people in a similar environment.
Strong relationship building skills with multiple teams and agencies.
Experience operating as a Safety Officer in an events environment.
Experience of managing Health & Safety in an events environment.
Team player with a positive and friendly attitude
Qualifications (essential)
NVQ Level 4 Spectator Safety Management
NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
Significant experience in a role with similar responsibilities.
