SalaryTalent Media, a premier headhunting firm, is representing a confidential client based in Basildon, currently recruiting for an experienced Health and Safety Officer. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of employees, managing safety protocols, and overseeing facilities. This is an immediate requirement, and we are committed to filling the position promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance workplace safety.
- Foster a people-first attitude by promoting a positive and safe working environment.
- Utilise experience in a manufacturing background to implement safety measures specific to the industry.
- Demonstrate expertise in building a safety culture within the organisation.
- Possess a strong understanding of environmental safety controls to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage a small facility site efficiently, ensuring optimal functionality.
Qualifications:
- Nebosh qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and introducing KPIs.
- A people-first attitude, with the ability to promote a safety-conscious culture.
- Background in manufacturing, demonstrating familiarity with industry-specific safety requirements.
- Comprehensive understanding of environmental safety controls.
- Prior experience in managing a small facility site.
