An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Solicitor to join an international, award-winning law firm as a Health Litigation Associate, where you will join their dedicated team based in Liverpool, which specialises in clinical negligence claims for NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts and other defendant clinical negligence clients.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of clinical negligence cases
- Drafting reports for NHS Resolution
- Conducting witness interviews
- Preparing witness statements
- Instructing experts and counsel
- Attending Court for Case Management Conferences and Application Hearings
- Negotiating settlements
- Conducting conferences with Counsel
- Preparing for and attending trials and mediations
Additional tasks include:
- Cover for secondments to NHS Resolution and local hospital Trusts
- Assisting colleagues with higher value claims
- Conducting free advice clinics at local hospital Trusts
- Delivering client training and presentations
- Drafting articles for clients
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members
Requirements:
- Law degree or equivalent qualification
- Preferably defendant clinical negligence experience at an NHSR Panel firm or MPS, but suitable claimant experience will also be considered
- Ability to work independently and within a growing team, both in-office and remotely
- Demonstrates comprehension of client'sneeds and expectations
- Adheres strictly to guidelines, client protocolsand KPIs
- Understands and respects client data security requirements
- Provides evidence of meeting hours and contribution targets
- Takes a proactive, pragmatic approach with a focus on quality
- Possesses excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrates outstanding organizational and communication skills

Salary:
- £40,000 - £80,000 -depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (37.5 hours per week)
