Due to development of our clients Health & Safety team on site, they have an additional Health & Safety Advisor role. The successful candidate will work as part of the Health & Safety team, in support of the Health & Safety director, to promote, maintain and develop the positive and proactive Health & Safety culture and supporting Health & Safety systems on site.
The role offers exposure into a wide range of Health & Safety areas, while also presenting the ability to work to support on Health & Safety matters in all areas of our drinks manufacturing organisation.
The successful candidate will be involved in the following tasks -
Complete audits of Health & Safety aspects of business performance, identifying and assisting in remedying areas of non conformance and or areas for enhancement.
Prepare and monitor key performance indicator reports for the Health & Safety manager, to allow operational safety performance monitoring.
Compile accident and incident report records and produce periodic statistics in these areas.
Manage and monitor lost time statistics in relation to Health & Safety matters.
Maintain near miss records and liaise with departmental managers regarding near miss reports in their areas.
Manage Health & Safety training requirements and associated records.
Schedule and administer Health & Safety training courses.
Support in the completion of risk assessments and safe systems of work as required.
Support in the delivery of Health & Safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training as required.
Promote a positive Health & Safety culture within the organisation.
Complete workplace and behavioural safety observations.
Support in the communication of Health & Safety policy and strategy documents to the wider company. Including taking and producing minutes from the H&S meetings.
Complete DSE user assessments alongside workstation users.
Deliver Health & Safety inductions to new employees.
Support departments in completion of incident investigations and route cause analysis.
Development of the Health & Safety skills of those within various departments in the business.
Procurement and management of first aid resources.
Date entry of key Health & Safety information.
Water management audits.
