As they continue their ambitious expansion, Delifresh is seeking a passionate and proactive Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the role, drive initiatives, and be a key player in the management team.

The role will lead the promotion of Safety and Environmental awareness, develop, and implement health and safety programs, ensure compliance with legislation, and drive sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Health and Safety Management, develop and maintain health and safety policies. Conduct safety audits and inspections and lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Sustainability Initiatives, implement programs to reduce environmental impact while monitoring and report on sustainability metrics.
• Regulatory Compliance, Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and Environmental regulations.
• Risk Management Identify and mitigate potential risks, managing risk assessment programs and conducting regular risk assessments.
• Team Leadership, foster a culture of Safety and sustainability and coordinate consistent practices with site managers.
• Stakeholder Engagement, promote initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, building relationships with regulatory bodies and community organisations.

Candidates will ideally have a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, along with a NEBOSH General Certificate. a minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably within the distribution or logistics industry. Applicants should have proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability programs and possess strong knowledge of health, safety, and Environmental regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
