We’re currently helping a Training company that employes over 500 colleagues recruit a Health, Safety & Facilities Manager to run their HQ in Leicester.
It’s a multi-use HQ - the office houses the shared service & support teams but also has a series of classrooms, workshops & a working motor vehicle workshop.
Role: Health, Safety and Facilities Manager
Direct Reports: 1
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Location: Office based, Leicester
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Candidates must be NEBOSH qualified.
This role will require to other sites across the UK occasionally
Role responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of our HQ in Leicester + satellite & client sites
- Develop, review, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards at client academies
- Implement training programs and carry out training at client academies to educate employees on safety protocols and practices.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Coordinate repairs, renovations, and upgrades to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to facility maintenance.
- Management of the relationship with the Managing agent and service provider at HQ and other sites as required.
- Maintain accurate records of health and safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to management on health and safety performance.
- Ensure that all required documentation is readily available for audits and inspections
Key Outputs/Deliverables:
- Maintain accurate health & safety documentation including policies and procedures, risk assessments, COSHH, inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Manage Inspiro sites to ensure they are a safe, secure, and comfortable environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, reporting any non-compliance issues.
- Maintain good working relationships with external vendors and service providers related to facility maintenance.
- All employees to hold valid driving licenses and insurance when they drive on company business
