TITLE: Health &Safety Compliance Officer / SHEQ Manager
SALARY: 50k per annum, plus car allowance, Pension
LOCATION: Malmesbury, Swindon, and Chippenham and surrounding areas

Experience in Industries Such as: Biomass, Wood Recycling, Commercial Waste Management, Plastics, Metals, Paper, Cardboard, Clinical Waste, Hazardous Materials, Confidential Waste, Construction and Demolition, SRF (Solid Recovered Fuel), RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel), Skip Hire, Food and Organics, or Green Waste Recycling
ROLE: Health &Safety Compliance Officer / SHEQ Manager
In this pivotal role, you will take charge of Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality management across a multifunctional site. Your responsibilities will encompass tasks such as overseeing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), handling RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases, and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations) reports, conducting Toolbox and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) Talks, among other duties. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the administration of new and updated procedures and for engaging with the Environment Agency and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as required.
Essential for this role is experience with ISO Management systems, as the company is seeking an individual who can establish and sustain ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications. Your role will also involve fostering a positive safety culture within the team and collaborating with the Operations Manager to enhance operational processes.
Experience in waste management and recycling , hazardous waste is required
EXPERIENCE: Health &Safety Compliance Officer / SHEQ Manager
Requirements for this position include:
Possession of a valid driving license.
Qualifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or higher.
Beneficial additional qualifications (non-essential) may include TechIOSH, GradIOSH, CMIOSH, or IEMA memberships.
WAMITAB / COTC certifications would be desirable.
In addition, strong IT skills are a must.
