Reed are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager to join an established client of ours in the aviation industry. This is a permanent, part time role. The Health & Safety and Safety Manager (HSSM) is dual role that is responsible for the development, administration and maintenance of the Health & Safety and Safety Management System for the ATO and FSTD Operations The Health and Safety Manager will - Implementing and maintaining Health & Safety policies and procedures, and ensuring the Company, its employees and contractors are compliant with Health and Safety Legislation - Ensuring staff have the relevant Health & Safety and Environmental training to enable them to carry out their tasks safely and compliant with Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation - Investigating incidents where required and gather all documentation in line with company policies - Reviewing internal Risk Assessments - Overseeing contractors Risk Assessments and Method Statements ensuring they are adhered to - Carrying out internal Audits, identifying areas for improvements - Carrying out monthly building / safety inspections - Carrying out Fire Safety Manager duties The successful Health and Safety Manager will have - NEBOSH qualification or equivalent - Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite (SharePoint, word, excel ,PowerPoint and Outlook) - High level of personal professional integrity - Ability to work independently or as part of a small team - Previous experience managing a SMS for AoC or ATO/FSTD operator would be an advantage but not essential For your experience to be considered, please apply now with an updated version of your C.V.
