We are looking for an experienced H&S manager to join a tier1 contractor for commercial projects in South Wales, The role will involve woking alongside the H&S director and liaising with clients, staff and sub contractors to ensure projects are completed in a safe and progessive manner.
Requirements:
- Experience working within the construction sector
- The ability to drive and implement best practice and compliance requirements along with a demonstrable background in HSE.
- Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Carrying out Audits and report on the findings and recommendations to project team and chair the Site Health and Safety Committee meetings with the Project Director.
- Carrying out accident investigations and report back to project team leader and Health & Safety Lead.
- Carrying out Tool Box Talks regarding high risk activities.
- Liaise with supply chain regularly to ensure compliance to company policies and procedures.
- Identify hazards and record on the NOC system.
- Reviewing and providing feedback to RAMS and risk assessments.
- Conducting training, lead the Bsafe program, manging records and work proactively with managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of Health and Safety.
- Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business.
- Drive sub-contractor performance.
