Our client are looking for a self-motivated, driven and committed Health, Safety and Environmental Officer to supplement the current team. You would need to have a proactive look at HSE matters and have the ability to influence culture change at all levels of the company.
This client is a worldwide company and has recently broken into the UK market with a proactive attitude. They are currently in contract to supply the first stages of new HS2 Green tunnels built here in the UK.
HSE OFFICER - Job Role:
Multiple daily walk-around to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Collection and distribution of safety-related documents (pre-use checks, Inspections, HSE tour forms etc.).
Responsible for ensuring the company and all its employees adhere to their duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other supporting legislation.
Accident/Incident investigation.
Participation in Health & Safety committees.
Carrying out site inductions for new employees, contractors & visitors.
Carry out system checks such as fire alarm systems etc.
Advisor for employee concerning HSE matters.
Supporting management where required.
Issuing of PPE, managing stock levels, ensuring stock is correctly managed and signed out.
Knowledge & Experience:
Background in any Engineering/ Construction Manufacturing industry.
2-3 years’ experience in a HSE role.
Computer literate - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook etc.
Working as a part of a multicultural Team.
Qualifications:
NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
IOSH Managing Safely.
English & Math skills.
Desired but not required:
An understanding of ISO accreditations.
Quality-related procedures.
Ability to speak Spanish.
