Summary:
As a Health & Safety Representative, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Health & Safety compliance within a progressive logistics business, working collaboratively within the team to ensure highest standards are achieved. Reporting into the Head of Health & Safety, the successful candidate will have previous working experience in a Health & Safety role within a logistics / engineering operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head of Health & Safety in achieving best standards of safety within the operation.
Complete Health & Safety checks and take action on any risks / areas of improvement.
Implement necessary actions highlighted on audits.
Promote adherence to best working practices and train operational teams where appropriate.
Ensure risk assessments and other legislative documentation are completed and up-to-date.
Key Skills/Experience:
At least 4 years' working experience within a Health & Safety role, specifically within a logistics / engineering function.
Good team player, able to work collaboratively to achieve the highest standards of safety within the organisation.
Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
Excellent communication skills, able to highlight areas of improvement and educate staff on safe working procedures.
IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH qualifications desirable, but not essential.
